Volunteer Process

We would love to have you join the Oaks movement as a volunteer!

You do not need to be a mental health professional to serve with Oaks Ministry Collaborative. Because we are a peer-support ministry rooted in the local church, the only requirements to get started are that you are a follower of Jesus and connected to a local church community.

Fill out the application, and we’ll follow up with your next steps!

• Complete the Volunteer Application
  This helps us get to know you and begin the onboarding process.

• Finish the Volunteer Orientation Course
  Online and asynchronous — learn the heart, vision, and foundations of Oaks.

• Complete the Volunteer Agreements & Background Check
  We’ll email these to you after orientation.

• Receive Access to the Volunteer Center & Volunteer Network Newsletters
  Stay connected and resourced with ongoing materials and updates.

• Join an Oaks Cohort
  Cohorts provide additional training, consultation, and space for questions as you step into ministry practice. Cohort options include:

  • Oaks Virtual Volunteer Cohort (meets once per month)

  • Restorative Prayer Cohort

  • Collaborative Care Cohort

  • An Oaks Cohort hosted at an Oaks Partner Church
