Events on Psychology & Christian Faith

Oaks events exist to engage the church and community in their healing process with God and others and to bring biblical clarity and theological integration of the Christian faith to psychological topics and issues. Oaks hosts and promotes a wide range of events, including collaborative events open to the general public and others that are closed training sessions for volunteers.
We love to collaborate, and so we also provide information on related events in the community or other churches. For details about any event listed below, or to partner or collaborate with us for an event, contact us at oaks@highpointchurch.org!

Navigating Grief & Loss Event

Do the holidays mark tragedy or complex emotions, instead of joy and cheer? Have you recently experienced loss of relationship, and wonder how to move forward while you feel this way? Have you lost someone or something important to you, but then experience the additional grief of feeling like no one understands? Is your loss shrouded in secrecy or confusion?

Whether you are experiencing grief yourself or you are supporting someone experiencing grief, this seminar will help you more deeply understand the experience of your grief, how to navigate it as it rises and ebbs, and how the Scriptures speak to your experience.

On Saturday, November 15 from 9am -11am Oaks Ministry Collaborative is hosting a seminar on Navigating Grief & Loss with Joyce Carlin, Certified Grief Educator.

  • Location: Crossroads Church, 3815 S Dutch Mill Rd, Madison, WI 53718

  • Snacks and coffee provided
